MICHEL, Albert (Bert) Douglas – passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Deep River & District Hospital on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the age of 85 years.
Bert Michel of Petawawa, dearly loved husband of Marilyn Michel (nee Sell). Beloved father of Heather Michel, Burnaby, B.C.; Cheryl McMeekin (Rob), Pembroke; Cindy Loehr (Dave), Ottawa; & Melodie Cox (Carman), Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Kirstin, Ian; Corey (Brittany), Ryan (Jayden), Spencer, Adam, Colin, Evan & Brayden. Great-grandfather of Liam, Quinn, Jack, Madden & Tatum. Son of the late Albert & Tena Michel (nee Druve). Brother of Eileen Barron (Murray), Eleanor Davis (late Reg), Bob Michel (late Jean). Brother-in-law of Murray Sell (Sandra), Lorraine Schroeder (Welland), late Murray Schultz and Brenda Zohr (Ken). Survived and missed by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 2:00 til 4:00 & 7:00 til 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 307 Julien St. Interment at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Petawawa. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Luke’s Anglican Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
