In Loving Memory
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Georgette Decleir (VanDaele) of Delhi , on Monday, March 30, 2020 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the Late Frank Decleir (2003). Loving mother of Ron (Susan), Nancy Lesage (Dan), Robert (Annie), Fred (Marlene) and Janet Norman (Louie). Cherished grandmother of Meghan, Tara, Tracy, Sean, Dustin, Michael, John, Karen, Derek, Tanya, Kyle, Nicholas, Katie and Jack. Great grandmother of sixteen. Sister in law to Mary and Joel Vandendriessche. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brother, Frank VanDaele (1986) and by her parents, Gustaf (1967) and Demetrie (1965). Georgette loved playing cards at the Delhi Friendship Centre where she made many friends. She was a member of the Red Hats Society, past president and member of the Former Delhi Belgian Club Ladies Auxiliary, sate on the board of Sacred Heart Villa, member of the Langton Catholic Women’s League, Women’s Institute in Langton and volunteered at the Delhi Tobacco Museum . One of her favourite things to do was visiting with her grandchildren and having lunch with them. She also loved spending her time writing stories and being out and about. Thank you to the staff of the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital . Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the family has requested a Private Family Service with interment in Delhi Cemetery at this time. Arrangements have been left in the compassionate care of the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care). In memoriam donations to the Delhi Township Senior Citizens Club Inc. and the Canadian Diabetes Association appreciated. A Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later time, date and place to be announced.
