Sharron Nelson- Magnussen
Sharron Nelson Magnussen, 74, of Ski, Norway,
passed away peacefully May 30th, 2022, with her loving husband, Bjorn,

Sharron grew up in Stoney Creek, NB, the daughter
of the late Jack and Geraldine (Corcoran) Nelson.
A graduate of Moncton High School and UNB Fredericton
(Nursing degree), Sharron started her career as a Public Health Nurse
and VON. Prior to moving to Norway, Sharron was an
instructor at the former A.J. McMaster School of Nursing at the
Moncton City Hospital. In Norway, Sharron was the General Manager of a
mental health and addiction centre where she was noted for the growth
and expansion of the facility to serve and support those needing
critical mental health care.
Sharron will be deeply missed by her husband of
38 years, Bjorn Magnussen, his son Egil, his daughter Aud (Tony)
Hobraaten and five grandchildren all of
Norway; her sisters, Carolyn (Eric) Ryll of Nanaimo, BC, and Lynn
(Gary) Beals of Stoney Creek, NB; her two nieces, Jackie (Paul)
Poirier and their children, Tyler and Cally of Hammonds Plains, NS,
and Amber (Tony) Glavin and their children, Mitchell and Lyric of
Enfield, NS; her niece Gina (Mark) (Ryll) Pointer of
Edmonton, Alberta, their two sons, Levi Pointer of Fort
McMurry and Dylan (Rae) Pointer of Prince
George, BC; and special aunts, uncles, and
cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an
infant sister, Patricia, nephew, Shayne Ryll, and granddaughter,
Louisa Magnussen.
All arrangements have been made in Norway per
Sharron’s wishes.
In memory of Sharron, those who wish can make a
donation to Carma Cat Rescue Maritimes, (Sharron always had a cat or
two), the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, the SPCA, a
mental health and addiction centre, or to a charity of the
donor’s choice, would be greatly
appreciated.
Sharron’s sisters, Lynn and Carolyn, would like
to acknowledge and thank Bjorn for all his love, excellent care, and
support to Sharron during her illness. Sharron was so
fortunate to have a wonderful, caring husband and Norwegian
family. Bjorn, your Canadian family
loves you and will always keep in
touch.
