JACKOWSKI
Theodore (Ted) Jackowski, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital on Saturday, January 08, 2022.
Born in Germany on June 26, 1946 to Wladyslaw (Walter) and Eugenia (Wojtowicz) Jackowski, Ted immigrated to Thunder Bay in 1951. He earned his Engineering degree from Queen’s University in 1971, worked at Ontario Hydro (Bruce Power) for 29 years until he retired in 2001. Ted continued to consult on a variety of projects for Bruce Power until 2013. He was a dedicated and loving brother, father and grandfather, always ready to help out or offer advice. He loved to attend shows, concerts, ceremonies, and competitions in support of his children and grandchildren.
Survived by daughter Dianne Bryant of London, Janet Jackowski of Milton and Robert (Shellie) Jackowski of Millbrook. Loving and supportive Grandpa of Alexandria, Brayden, Nicole, Zackary, Thomas, and Kai. Fondly remembered by his siblings, Barbara Jackowski of Niagara Falls, Joe (Cathy) Jackowski of Whitby, and Henry (Karen) Jackowski of Thunder Bay. Also loved by his nieces and nephews Michael (Melissa), David (Robyn), Mitchell and Jordan. Predeceased by his parents.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Mighton Funeral Home via zoom. If you wish to attend the zoom service, please contact the family. Inurnment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Thunder Bay.
Memorial donations to the Cancer Society, the Arthritis Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation research divisions are appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
