November 30, 1934 – June 1, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Beloved husband of Genowefa (nee Byk). Devoted father to Grace Walters (Nevard). Very proud grandfather to Jennifer Forget (Kevin), Angela White (Joshua), Chelsea Montgomery (Owen) and Brigitte Walters and great-grandfather to Wyatt and Max. Uncle to Kszystof Kowalczyk (Wislawa) and great-uncle to Wojcieh and Mateusz. He will be missed by his extended family in Poland. Leon was a skilled ‘Jack of all trades’, using his expertise to help others however he could. He lived generously. He enjoyed the outdoors and thrived when celebrating with family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff and nurses at Windsor Regional Hospital for their attentive care. A private family visitation has taken place followed by cremation and burial at Windsor Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
