Edwin John Farr
Passed away at Park Lane Terrace in Paris on Monday May 30, 2022, in his 92nd year. Cherished husband of Betty Farr (nee Andrews); Loving father of Kevin and Stephen (Cheryl), Beloved grandpa of David, Elizabeth Whitehead (Trevvor), Ian, Lauren and Jacqueline and great grandfather to Daria. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law Anna, as well as his many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Pre-deceased by his mother Claire Marck a sister Claire Grant and a brother David. Eddie grew up on Province St in Hamilton. He graduated from McMaster and taught History and Physical education at Grimsby High School for 33 years. He coached multiple sports but focused on football, making a deep and lasting positive impact in many young person’s lives. As well he was a dedicated father and husband, living a true love match with his Betty for 68 years. He also cherished the role of grandpa to his 5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Memorial Mass will take place at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 17 Washington St, Paris, on Friday June 3 at 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery to follow.
