Obituary of TERESA NIEDOSPIAL
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Teresa Niedospial on May 23rd, 2022 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Our beloved aunt had lost her brave battle with illness, just days short of her 78th birthday, which she would have celebrated on June 13th, 2022. Teresa is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Antoni Niedospial, sister Krystyna Idzikowski (late Eugeniusz), nephew Darek Bilinski (Monika) and their son Nicholas and by extended family and friends in Canada and Poland.
Teresa earned her wings to soar to Heaven and reunite with her parents, Zofia and Władysław Bilinski. She took joy in the simple pleasures: enjoying gardening, shopping in Polish stores, cooking delicious Polish foods and making sure that birds always had clear water in her beautiful garden. Aunt Teresa nurtured traditions, was a devoted catholic for whom faith was the foundation and the essence of life. She prayed to the Divine Mercy of Jesus Christ and had always had a picture of Saint Faustina Kowalska within her reach. Despite of her failing health, she continued to be fiercely independent and maintained a sharp wit. We will never forget the warm family gatherings at Teresa’s and Antoni’s welcoming home where she always was a gracious hostess and where together with Antoni they had always set a beautiful table.
The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home, Health Sciences Centre and Saint Boniface Hospital for their incredibly compassionate care she has received, especially in her final few weeks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church 341 Selkirk Ave., with interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main St. If friends so desire, a donation in memory of Teresa may be made to a charity of your choice.
