Beatrice ‘Bea’ Alward
1929-2022
Beatrice Hazel “Bea” Alward,
93, of Moncton and formerly Petitcodiac passed away peacefully Monday,
May 23, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital with her daughter at her
side.
Born in Havelock she was a daughter of the late
Norman and Martha (Sutherland) Carson. Beatrice was a former employee
of the T. Eaton Company and was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist
Church. A person of strong will and determination she found great joy
in spending time with her grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
Survived and sadly missed by her daughter Nadine
Silk (Randall), daughter-in-law Sharon Alward of Moncton,
grandchildren Anthony Alward, Tanya Coleman (Jay), Haley Jane Silk
(Andrew), Jeffrey Silk (Jennifer), Craig Silk (Emily), great
grandchildren Emma, Anna, Autumn, Josephine, Peter, Jay and Margot.
Survived also by a sister Mary Wood of Toronto and by several nieces
and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Lester, her son Allen, sisters
Jean MacDonald, Phyllis Templeton and Audrey Wheaton and brothers
Ralph and Gordon Carson.
A private family graveside service will be held at
Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac.
If desired memorials to the Friends of the Moncton
Hospital or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the
family.
