Obituary
September 23, 1935 – May 22, 2022
On Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10am Edna Hatch passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her home at Missionwood Retirement Resort, Kelowna BC.
Edna will be lovingly remembered by her sons Ron Tweddle (Francine) and Perry Tweddle (Jackie and granddaughter Brianne), her sisters Roberta (Ron) and Shirley (Adolf), her stepsons Aubrey and Jeff (Vicky) Hatch and stepgranddaughters Jennifer, Darryl-Lynn and Jessica.
Edna was born to the late Arthur and Mildred McAdam in Three Hills Alberta. She married Robert Tweddle in 1955 until 1986 and raised two boys- Ron and Perry. In 1988 she remarried the late Stan Hatch until his death in 2002- stepsons Aubrey and Jeff. She sold her house in 2015 and moved to Missionwood to join her good friend, the late Al Kane. She was predeceased by siblings Irene, James, Ruby, Doreen and Sharon.
Edna retired in 1983 after careers with both the Bank of Montreal and BC Hydro. She always lived life to its fullest. For two decades she enjoyed travelling to Yuma, AZ to spend the winters. She enjoyed golf, curling, bridge, travelling and spending time with friends and family. She volunteered at the Kelowna Cancer Centre for many years and enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society.
Edna was a loving mother and dear friend to many. She had a beautiful smile and a warm heart, and inquisitive mind, mixed with a great sense of humour. She had cherished friends from her time in Sandalwood, Westwind Az, Missionwood and her many bridge clubs.
A celebration of life for Edna will be held Sunday May 29th at 2pm at Missionwood Retirement Resort 1075 Barnes Avenue. Email Perry pjtweddle@gmail.com
