1937-2022
The passing of Ronald Everett Hawkins, husband of Audrey
(Eldridge) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour NB occurred at the Charlotte
County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on May 21, 2022. Born in L’Etang NB on
April 14, 1937, he was a son of the late Arnold and Vera (Morse)
Hawkins. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather,
great-grandfather, brother and uncle, in addition to his wife, Ronnie
is survived by his children: Kelly (Brian) Miller of Beaver Harbour NB
and Andrew (Melissa) Hawkins of Blacks Falls AB; grandchildren:
Shannon, Ryan (Alexa) and Fallon (Mitchell); great-grandchildren:
Ethan, Cohen, Jake, Brody, Jack, Karsyn and Marcus; one brother: Wayne
(Faith) Hawkins of Blacks Harbour NB; sisters: Belva McIntyre of St.
Andrews NB, Anita (Gary) Frye of Quispamsis NB and Violet McKinley of
Pennfield NB; his best friends: Lynn and Ralph Dewar; and many nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Prior to retirement Ronnie spent his life working on the
water and was the co-owner/operator of Hawkins Brothers Fisheries. He
loved baseball and was a passionate and competitive player who would
argue with anyone that the Red Sox were the best team in the league.
In his free time he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his
family.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Ronnie’s
wishes there will be no visiting. A private family service will be
held at a later date. In his memory, donations to a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
