It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Friday, May 13th, 2022, at the age of 65 years. Maurice was a long-term resident of the community of Cartier Ontario. He retired from CP Rail in 2012 after a distinguished thirty-plus-year career. An avid card player he will be sadly missed at the gambling tables. He loved to joke and laugh and play with his grandkids. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting. He was a hard-working generous man. Among those he knew, you’d be hard-pressed to find a person who wasn’t helped at one time or another by Maurice. Son of the late Noël Allaire and Marguerite (née Labbée). Loving father of Mark Allaire (Melissa Alexakis). Cherished grandfather of Maggie and Max. Beloved brother of Serge Allaire (Brenda Brandow), Hervé Allaire, late Clément Allaire, Francine Prévost (Normand), Lucie Allaire (Brian Nolet), late Yvan Allaire, Yvette Allaire, Jean Allaire (Josée Beauchesne), Réjeanne Allaire (Clifford Gowan). Sadly missed by nieces, Marlene Mitchell, Kim Martini, Suzanne Roy, Candace Campbell, Jessica Leclair, Stephanie Campbell, nephews Michel Prevost, Luc Prevost along with many great-nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family and friends. In keeping with Maurice’s wishes there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
