Obituary of Raymond Gowdy
At Fordwich Village Nursing Home on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, Raymond Gowdy of Wingham and formerly of Gorrie, passed away at the age of 92.
Devoted husband of Jacqueline (Gilmar) Gowdy of Wingham. Loving dad of Janna & Don Dodds of Wingham and Philip & Laurie Gowdy of Strathroy. Cherished grandpa of Rachael Speers & Mike Grass, Eliza Dodds, Jessica & Dan Murphy and Melissa Gowdy. Great-grandpa of Aubrey, Cohen, Alice and Frankie. Predeceased by his parents Harold & Emmeline (Earl) Gowdy, sisters-in-law Muriel Attwood (Jack), Joanne King (Bill), Nadine Cathers (Everett) and brother-in-law Donald Gilmar (Lois)
A graveside service will be held at Gorrie Cemetery on Friday, May 27th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jeff Hawkins officiating. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
