“Eileen” Elizabeth Cheverie
1938-2022
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, May 16,
2022 of Eileen E. Cheverie (nee Laybolt) of Charlottetown, age 83
years. Beloved wife of the late Harry McGuigan and dear mother of
Lester (Carol Anne) Cheverie, Ann (Barry) MacDonald, Millie (Ben)
MacWilliams, John Cheverie, Mary (Mickey) Rose, Barb (Luc) Poirier,
Joey (Nancy) Cheverie and Lisa (Dale) Dugay. She is also survived by
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Wood,
Doreen Clarke and Charmaine Anderson; brothers, Clarence Laybolt and
Ivan Laybolt.
She was predeceased by the father of her children Reginald
Cheverie, her son David Cheverie, grandson Kevin MacDonald, grandson
Chad Cheverie-Dugay, mother Eileen Anderson, father Cpl David L.
Laybolt, brother Daniel Laybolt and sister Georgina
MacLean.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown
Funeral Home until Saturday morning then transferred to the Church of
the Most Holy Redeemer for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment later in
the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
No visitation by personal request.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the
Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI.
