Obituary
Eldon Emanuel Pederson passed away at the age of 94 at the Kyle Health Centre on May 12, 2022.
Eldon was the second child of eight children born to Elmer and Ruth Pederson at the family farm near Kyle, SK on October 7, 1927. Clearwater School was the first school Eldon attended and his mom, Ruth had already taught him how to read, write and draw. He had a thirst for knowledge and a lifelong interest in reading and researching many things including family history. Eldon spent many hours in libraries and also loved to journal about everything in his world. He had many different jobs at first but worked as a surveyor, draftsman and engineering technician most of his working life in British Columbia. He retired at age 60 which gave him more time to pursue his passion of collecting old cars on his parcel of Pederson land just north of Kyle. Eldon also loved to travel and visited Europe and the United States several times.
Eldon lived life to the fullest the way he wanted to. His quote “I don’t quit unless I have to and my life history proves it”.
Eldon never married but he always had a huge extended family to spend time with. Eldon is survived by his sister-in-law Marlene Pederson as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Ruth, siblings and spouses Lyle Pederson, Marvin Pederson, Alan Pederson, Doris and Keith Cates, Margaret and Philip Luchsinger, Iva and Bob Speir and June Fletcher, nephew Kerry Luchsinger and niece Elaine and Roger Hammond.
There will be a private family graveside service at Clearwater Cemetery at a later date.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Eldon Emanuel PEDERSON October 7 1927 May 12 2022 (age 94)..
