Obituary of Elina June Elias
Elina June “Sis” Elias (nee Robinson)
April 6, 1932 – May 13, 2022
Elina Elias was born and raised in Cranbrook, British Columbia. Though Elina and the love of her life, Wally, often travelled to Yuma, Arizona, they always returned to their family and friends in the Columbia Valley. Elina naturally loved people as was evident in her profession as a nurse. Elina and Wally had a beautiful partnership, enjoying crafts, sports and long afternoon drives looking for animals, wild, farm and domestic. She devoted many years to the Cranbrook Health Care Auxiliary Store as an extremely valuable volunteer.
Elina is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years Wally, son Murray (Michelle), Grandchildren Haley, Shayla and Lexi. Elina always had a special place in her heart for Linda and Ed Swanson, her lifelong friend and cousin Darleen Meenie and sister-in-law Sibell Robinson, as well as many extended family and friends.
Elina was predeceased by her daughters Jill and Lori Dawn, Brothers Bob, Frank and Don as well as her parents Herb and Alice.
Elina has requested that in lieu of a service or flowers to please send donations in her name to
the B.C. S.P.C.A. East Kootenay Community Animal Centre
