John (Jack) David MacIsaac
1947-2022
Jack MacIsaac of Nackawic, NB passed away on May 14, 2022 at the Upper
River Valley Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1947 at Halifax, NS,
a son of the late David and Mary Ann (Gillis) MacIsaac.
Jack was employed for many years as a pipefitter at Ste. Anne Nackawic
Pulpmill and Irving Pulp & Paper. He was a member of Sts. Simon
and Jude Catholic Church and a former member of the Woodstock Knights
of Columbus and the Nackawic Fire Department. Jack enjoyed archery,
hunting, fishing, watching sports and games night with his children
and grandchildren. He loved reading History books and studying
history and maps. Some of his greatest joys were hunting with his
best buddies Bob, Wayne and Kevin and salmon fishing in the Miramichi
with Bob, Wayne and his brother Gary.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marsha (Morrison) MacIsaac;
three daughters Ann Marie Gilmor (James), Barrie, ON, Sandy Grant
(David), Hawkins Corner, NB and Donna Moorcroft (Mark), Southampton,
NB; three grandsons, Bailey Moorcroft, Damen Grant and Seamus Gilmor;
four granddaughters, Jacklyn Gilmor, Lily Gilmor, Charity Moorcroft
and Jordanne Grant; four brothers, Stephen MacIsaac, Gary MacIsaac
(Gail), Allan MacIsaac (Patty) and Robert MacIsaac (Charlene), all of
Miramichi, NB; seven sisters June Underhill, Riverview, NB, Helena
MacEachern (Jerry), Cape Breton, Maureen Lifsches (Mike), Nova Scotia,
Theresa MacLean (David), Betty Jean Anderson (Danny), Sandra Munn
(Larry) and Corrine Stewart (Junior), all of Miramichi, NB; several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son
David.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive,
Nackawic, NB on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022 from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic
Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 12
noon with Celebrants Father Arockia Dass Chinnappan and Father John
Keoughan. Interment at Sts. Simon and Jude Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Jack, the family
has suggested the Valley Food Bank.
Heartfelt thanks to all the staff on 2North in Palliative Care at the
Upper River Valley Hospital, especially the nursing staff.
