Joan (Crossan) (Jenkins) McGray
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt Joan (Crossan) (Jenkins) McGray, age 89 of Valley View Villa on Sunday, February 27, 2022.
Joan lived in Pictou County and had also lived and worked in Petawawa, Ontario and Lahr Germany before returning to Pictou County.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Jenkins (Frank), Stellarton; sister Helen (Layton) Snyder, Riverton; daughters-in-laws Eileen Jenkins and Lis McGray, Ontario; grandchildren Jeffrey MacLean, Oakfield; Melanie Gosbee, Old Halifax Road; David MacLean, Calgary; Devin MacLean, Stellarton; Shane Marshall, Leonard Forrest, Roy Jenkins, Nicholas Jenkins, William Jenkins, Donna Marie Jenkins, Patricia Jenkins, Kitchener, Ontario; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Marion (MacLean Hurd) and James Crossan, first husband Roy Jenkins, second husband Herb McGray, sons Norman Jenkins and Aaron McGray, sister Marion (Walter) Johnson, and brother James Crossan.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no funeral service at her request, burial for Joan and her second husband Herb McGray will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow at a later date.
