Alaimo Faustino
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Faustino Alaimo at Jurvinski Hospital on Thursday, January 6th, 2022 at the age of 81. He is survived by his children who will forever miss him, Sam (Evalina), Al, (Rosa) and Connie (John). Loving and proud Nonno to Domenic (Felisia), Adrian, Jessica, Alex, Abby, Niko, Luka and his great grandchildren Julian and Chloe. Survived by sisters Gaetana (Michelangelo Palermo), Lina (Pasquale Sanfillipo), brother Guiseppe Alaimo (Nicole), and sister-in-laws Marietta and Carmela. Predeceased by his parents Salvatore and Concetta Alaimo, brothers Domenico, Calogero (Salvatrice), and Francesco. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family in France and Italy. He will be missed by his many compari, commare, and his friends from the Trinacria Club. Faustino was born in Montedoro, Sicily on December 5th, 1940 and immigrated to Canada in 1965. Papà built a beautiful life for his family and lived life to the fullest. He had a passion for fishing, gardening, cooking and loved to make meals for his family. He loved being surrounded by his children, but his greatest joy and happiness were his grandchildren.

On Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm, followed by a funeral service on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. In accordance with provincial regulations, 50 visitors will be permitted at a time (in half-hour increments). Please RSVP in advance (preferred but not required) for the visitation and funeral mass on Faustino’s tribute page at www.smithsfh.com or by calling the Funeral home between 9am and 5pm. Please note that proof of vaccination is not required for entry.
