When she was 18 she immigrated to Canada with her father soon followed by her mother and siblings. Higher Education was important to Suzanne and she graduated with multiple degrees in Sociology, Chemistry, Biology, Psychology and Social Work all while exploring interests such as cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and color psychology. Suzanne worked for the Alberta Provincial Government as a social worker/contract manager. Suzanne was blessed to return home to her beloved New Zealand and served for eighteen months as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later, as a social worker for the Alberta government she worked many years and it was there that she met her sweetheart Ron. They married July 21, 1979 in Calgary and raised two daughters. A significant part of Suzanne’s life was her creative endeavors. She was the author of two novels, penned many short stories and read an innumerable number of books. Quilting and mentoring others in the art was a true passion that she shared willingly. Her parents instilled a love and knowledge of all aspects of gardening and preserving of the yields. As a faithful member of the Church she fulfilled multiple service callings with joy and dedication making many friends along the way. Suzanne’s family was everything to her and she was everything to them. Suzanne passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and daughters.
