Obituary
Diane Janet Semeschuk, beloved spouse and mother, passed away on April 11, 2022, at the age of 71 years.
Diane was born on April 8, 1951, at her parents’ family farm in Swan Plain, Saskatchewan. Diane attended Swan Plain Elementary School, then Norquay School and graduated from Sturgis Composite High in 1969.
In 1968, Diane met the love of her life and they married in October 1973 at the Greek Orthodox Church in Danbury, Saskatchewan. Throughout their over 48 years of marriage, they welcomed two children, lived in seven different locations across the western provinces finally settling in Langdon, Alberta.
Diane enjoyed her career of many years as a payroll specialist, supporting her childrens’ sports, gardening, cooking, baking, volunteering, and crafts. Those that knew her loved her caring, energy, honesty, loyalty, and devotion to her children.
Diane is lovingly remembered by her husband Jim, daughter Tara (Chris), and son Ian (Miyuki). She is also survived by her Mother (Theresa), and Siblings plus numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, In-laws, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends. She was predeceased by her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Father (Peter), Father-in-Law (Paul), Mother-in-Law (Anne) and Sister-in-Law (Bonnie).
We will cherish Diane in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace and may your memory be eternal. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to The Kidney Foundation of Canada or Diabetes Canada as tokens of remembrance in memory of Diane.
