Scott A O’Brien 19592022

Scott A. O’Brien
1959-2022
The death of Scott Allan O’Brien, of Bath, NB occurred on May 7, 2022
at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville. Born on October 8th,
1959, he was the son of Patricia and the late C. Graham O’Brien.
Scott – the loving son, husband, brother, father, uncle and
grandfather who cherished all things family. He treasured an enormous
group of friends that he shared passions with and where in each case
you felt
his trust and commitment to being. He devoted himself to others in
deep ways that fostered the fun and love that we can now hold as our
own blessed memories.
During work Scott was a subject matter expert at many things and his
spirit to make others successful was his focus. Scott was an
organized leader throughout his career and he was proud to be
associated
with every person he shared the McCain experience with. His decision
to retire came after 42 years of service and he considered his service
his own privilege.
His interests typically translated to engagement with community groups
like School Breakfast Programs and the Southern Victoria Pipe Band.
He was the “Voice” for the Gathering of the Scotts team
and his
devotion to the clan was more than admirable. His passions made him a
supporter of everything music and arts … he made his plans
around CVAC events, the Larlee Creek Hullabaloo and Maritime music
festivals. He was the fan in the front row that made the di1erence
for the performing artist on stage.
At home Scott deployed his distinct culinary skills and it can be said
that he may have even missed that calling … he aimed to please
company every time with a well-thought food plan and preparation and
he
enjoyed nothing more than to pass his knowledge on to interested
youngsters. Travel and culture were both incredibly important to him,
but there was no scene he enjoyed more than the view he got from
his motorcycle. Scott was a project person who enjoyed weaving his
creativity with gifts to others and many ideas were spawned from cool
little things he spied that brought a friend to mind–his
puttering
always ended with a heart-felt smile on someone else’s
face.
Knowing Scott brought out your best and his contagious character made
every suggestion a reality with enthusiasm … he was a 4-seasons,
full throttle fellow who knew good etiquette and respectfully chose to
not practice it sometimes … He was a “keeper of
Gargoyles” along with so many other things–they were all
cool and he needed to collect them and the precious camp became his
gallery. An honorary
Monquarter making endless plans for a sovereign retirement–he is
already so missed!
Scott was a believer and nobody believed in Santa Clause more than
he–
Scoot was a giver … when you got one of his “Tearlach
hugs”–well just imagine no greater gift … his
love
Scott is survived by his wife, Maureen; his mother, Patricia O’Brien;
Son, Jordan (Laura) O’Brien; Daughters, Erin and Tara Crain; 2

Braun); Brother in Law, Marc Kilfoil (Deanna); 2 Sisters in Law,
