It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice Mae Kidney on May 5th, 2022. Alice was born on May 24th, 1935, in Woodstock, New Brunswick.
She was the daughter of the late Neil and Elizabeth (Collins) Donovan of Canterbury, New Brunswick.
Alice lost John, the love of her life, last year.
Alice is survived by her children, Kevin (Sereta) Kidney, Karen (Michael) Doucette, Keith (Sherrie) Kidney, and Krista (Rob) Stone.
She is also survived by Grandchildren Caitlin (Aaron) Farnham, Kristie Doucette (Kyle Nicholson), Ryan Kidney, Emma Stone, Megan Stone, and Great Granddaughters Charlotte, Georgia, and Everlie Farnham.
Alice is survived by siblings Shirley Donovan and Joe (Barb) Donovan of Ontario, many nieces and nephews.
Alice is predeceased by her brother Frank Donovan, sister Irene Daoust, sister in-law Deanna, and brother in-law Ovila.
Alice retired as a Nurses Aid at the Carleton Manor in 1992 and enjoyed 30 years of retirement.
She enjoyed tole painting, ceramics, exercise classes, dining out, dancing with John, spending time with friends and family and especially her summers at Skiff Lake.
Alice loved her husband John, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Spending time with them was her greatest joy.
Alice will be remembered by all that loved her for her sense of humor, fun loving spirit, and her occasional mischievous streak. She had a life well lived.
Resting at the Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB with visitation Monday May 9th from 4pm to 6pm followed by the service at 6pm.
People who attend visitation and funeral service are asked to wear a mask.
The service will be officiated by Murray Whitehouse at the Culberson Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at the St. Thomas Cemetery, Canterbury, NB.
Donations can be given to a charity of the donor’s choice.
