Deale, Lloyd Orion “Sonny” – Age 78 of Middle Musquodoboit, passed away May 2, 2022 in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital, with his wife by his side.
Born in Elmsvale, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Hazel (Stewart) Deale.
Sonny’s working life started in construction, he later earned his mechanic licence working with several dealerships in Dartmouth, and finished as a truck driver with Department of Highways. Over the years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and lending a hand where he could.
Surviving are his wife of almost 54 years, Evelyn (Dechman); son, George; grandchildren, Colton, Tasha (Mike), Tyler and Orion; great-granddaughter, Kora; brothers, John Allen, Richard and Robert.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Sheryl; sister, Marjorie; brothers, Cameron, Fred and Phillip.
Cremation has taken place.
A family graveside service will be held in Elderbank Cemetery on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Allan Lynk officiating. Friends are welcome to visit the family downstairs in St. Andrews United Church from 3-4 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Musquodoboit Valley Health Foundation – Hospital.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
