Obituary for
Herbert Hugh “Herbie” Kolausok
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member Herbert Hugh Kolausok on November 24, 2021 at the age of 53 years.
“Herbie” or “Huey” as he was known by different family and friends is survived by the light of his life, his daughter Taylor. He is also survived by Taylor’s mother, Carol and his siblings, Brian, Rodney, Anne-Marie (Mark), Dennis, and Michael; nephew, Travis (Justine) and their children, Damon, Roman and Sienna; niece, Philomena (Erick) and their children, Brannen, Brycin, Juleeana and Viktorea; nephew, Aaron Don and his daughter, Fraia; sister-in-law Karen; and numerous cousins including Violent Greenland who held a special place in his heart.
Herbie was predeceased by his parents, Marjorie and George; brothers, John, Daryl and Eddie; and sister-in-law, Babes.
Herbie suffered a life-threatening brain injury in 1997 however survived and was assisted throughout the remainder of his life by caring and compassionate social workers. The family is forever grateful to the support they gave him and recognize their efforts in increasing his quality of life. We give special thanks to Vessela of E4C for her compassion and support during this time.
Cremation has occurred; a service to honour Herbie’s life will take place at a later date when travel is safer for family members.
