Pamela Oliver-Bingham (nee Oliver)
June 24, 1960 – April 28, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Pam Oliver-Bingham, due to complications from surgery on Thursday, April 28th, 2022 at the age of 61 years. Left to forever cherish Pam’s memories are her children, Paxton, Paige, Amber (Chris), and Shawn; her husband, Paul; grandchildren, Patrick and Lucy; siblings, Roberta (Gerry), Connie, Darlene, Joy, and Derwin; her father, Ernie (Clara); and numerous nieces and nephews, Shaun (Nadine), Stacey, Kristi, Rian (Alecia), Crystal, Melissa (Jason), Jack, Hailey, Tara (Mike), Kris, Cody, Kirby, Jordan; and her special companion, Allie. She was predeceased by her mother, Alma.
Mom was raised in the Meadow-Lea community where she spent her early years. She attended Warren Collegiate Institute and later drove school bus for the same division. The smiling faces of the children on the bus and listening to their stories was her favourite part of her career. Mom had a heart of gold and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. Baking, gardening, sewing, travelling, and spending quality time with her girls were a few of Mom’s great joys in life. Whether that was spending the day in the sun watching us play baseball, attending dance recitals, or enjoying time at the lake, Mom made every moment special. The ultimate highlight of her life was spending time with her family. Mom gave the gift of life by donating her organs to continue her legacy. In our deepest grief over the passing of Mom, hopefully she has saved three other families from having to feel this kind of pain with her generous gift of life.
In compliance with Pam’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held in her honour. The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the physicians and nurses within the Neurology department and Surgical Intensive Care Unit for all their care and compassion for our mother during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, Mom would encourage others to register as organ donors in her honour.
