Michael William Robert Ewart, age 43, of Stratford passed away suddenly on April 29, 2022, from a diabetic seizure in his sleep. Born in Stratford, he is the son of Graham Ewart and the late Sharon (Hyde) Ewart.
He is survived by his close friend Michael Daum, sister Krista Dona (Michael – June 18, 2021), nephew Keegan. Also survived by his Aunt Ina Ewart, Uncle Bill (Patsy) Ewart of Valemount, B.C., cousins Will Ewart of Edmonton, A.B., Gordon (Ry-Ann) Ewart and family of Kamloops B.C.
Michael was a very bright light with an exceptionally kind soul. He made instant friends with everyone he met and made everyone feel special whether he knew them or not. Michael was hilarious and brought joy and laughter to those around him with his infectious smile and contagious laugh.
Michael had a passion for music and loved to sing. He sang at many weddings and special events. His incredible voice landed him in the top 10 on Canadian Idol. He loved Broadway, the performing arts and played various roles in the Perth County Players.
Michael had a flair for making life more beautiful through his talents for interior design, event planning and fashion. He carried himself with poise and instantly lit up the room with his presence.
The world is a little less bright without him in it, but the memory of his beautiful light will keep us warm forever.
Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, May 5, from 6-9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
