July 13, 1940 – April 28, 2022
Nick was born in Lavadia, Greece and came to Canada in his late 20’s. He had two children, daughter Dimitra (David) and son Elia (Anna). He was the proud Papo (grandfather) to MaKayla, Rebekah, Kaitlin and Jakob. Nick loved the simple things in life, sharing conversation with his friends over coffee at McDonald’s where his grandkids commented their Papo (grandfather) had a large and wonderful social life. You would often find Nick enjoying his favourite Greek music while sitting outside on his swing. He made sure the birds were fed observing them enjoying seeds from his old ashtray.
Nick loved his garden, especially his beautiful flowers and tomato plants. He loved everything about his garden except for the squirrels that would eat cherries off of the cherry tree. Nick will be missed by all his friends and family who loved him.
The family will be receiving family and friends on Wednesday, May 4th from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West (2 lights east of Avenue Road). The visitation will be followed by a service in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m.. Interment to take place at the Elgin Mills Cemetery.
