Jacqueline Lee Jackie McDiarmid 19502022

Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” McDiarmid
1950-2022
Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” McDiarmid was
a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mom was one of
the hardest working people any of us knew. She left this world as
quietly as she lived it; in the presence of her family on April 26,
2022 at age 71, after a short battle with
cancer. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of Ruth (Rand) of
Arlington and the late Lawrence Fitzgerald of Starr’s
Point. Jackie is survived by her mother Ruth; her children,
Angela of Ladysmith BC; Jeffrey of Kentville; and Jason (Sara) of
Ottawa, ON; her siblings, Debbie MacKeen and Cheri McInnis (Vern
Graham), both of Centreville and Tony (Sharon) Fitzgerald of Port
Williams; and grandchildren Kia and Malick. In addition to her father,
she was predeceased by her husband, Edwin “Ted”
Gidney and brother, Wayne
Fitzgerald. A joint Celebration of Life for her and Ted will be
held in late June with family and close friends.
Donations in her memory may be made to Chrysalis House,
Kentville. Arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
