Grant David Barnes
July 7, 1988 – April 24, 2022
It is with much sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grant from a sudden medical episode on the farm in Warkworth where he lived and loved for the past two years.
Dear son of Phil and Maggie, Brother to Scott (Alannah, daughter Vera Lynn). Grandparents Keith and Tillie McNabb (pre-deceased) Grandparents Sheila and John Barnes. All of his Aunts,Uncles and cousins and extended family and friends will miss him so much. Grant lived life on his own terms and beliefs. For the past four and a half years he has worked for the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat as a Web Developer/Scrum Master with a wonderful group of co-workers. Recently through the encouragement of Garry and Sharyn from the farm, he started helping to take care of the horses and ducks. He formed a very close bond with them as his second family.
We have decided as a fitting tribute to Grant’s life, we will have a celebration of Grant on the farm at a later date. Details to follow.
