NIGH, Arnold Paul (1935 – 2022) – a faithful follower of Jesus Christ; promoted to the loving arms of his Lord & Saviour at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 in his 87th year. Devoted and loving husband of 55+ years to Marlene Nigh (nee Hall) of Port Dover, formerly Springvale. Cherished father & grandfather of Larry of Hamilton, Ruth Anne Engle (Phil) of Dillsburg, PA, their children Meredith, Allie & Connor; and Karen Smith (Jason) of Simcoe, their children Abbey & Blake. Dear brother of Norma Sherk (late Maurice) of Townsend. Predeceased by his grandson Brendan Engle (2000). Loving brother of the late David (Lynn) of Waterloo, the late Walter (Dianne) of Alberta, the late Howard (Elinor) of Jarvis, the late Wray (late Jean); the late Melvin (Bettee) of Townsend, her husband Al and the late Robert (Debbie) of Windham Centre. Predeceased by his parents, the late Rev. Paul & Lucie Nigh. Arnold will be lovingly remembered by Marlene’s siblings, Alvin Hall (Barb) of Townsend, Howard Hall (Margaret) of Ireland, Marjorie Danton (Dave) of Hanover and by many nieces, nephews & extended family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Arnold with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Thursday, April 28th, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Arnold’s homegoing service will be held from Emmanuel Bible Church, 24 Churchill Circle, Simcoe on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Steve Faulkner & Raymond Thompson officiating. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery, Springvale. Those wishing to donate in memory of Arnold are asked to consider the Faith Mission & Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.
