It is with deep sadness that the family of the late ERIC JUNIOR MAYE, formerly of Monkstown, NL announces his passing. Eric passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL on Wednesday, January 05th, 2022, at the age of 77.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his loving wife of 60 years, Violet, daughters, Bonita Moulton (Clayton), Red Harbour, Kimberley Howell (Brett), Edmonton, AB, sons Derick (Jennifer), Barrie, ON, Randy (Tammy), St. John’s, Terry (Sharon), Petawawa, ON, and Jeffrey (Kimberley), Burin; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grand children; brother Cecil (Marjorie), Grand Falls, Shirley Hollett, Garden Cove, and Wanda Brinston (Edgar), Garden Cove; plus a large number of family and friends.
Eric is predeceased by his parents Clifford and Laura Maye, Brother in law George and special nephew Jason.
The May Family will be accepting visitors Peninsula Funeral Home on Friday, January 07, 2022 from 1 – 3 pm.
Due to the Alert Level 4 restrictions, this will be a walk through visitation, with one household bubble entering at a time. When entering the funeral home you will be required to show proof of vaccination and photo ID. Everyone is asked to sign the contact tracing sheet upon entering the building and masks are required to be worn at all times in the Funeral Home. Due to Covid – 19 regulations no food is permitted into the funeral home.
A private Funeral Service will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South, NL on Friday, January 07th, 2022 at 4:00 pm. Proof of vaccination and a photo ID will be required upon entering the church. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Monkstown on Sunday, January 09th at a time to be announced.
In Eric’s memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
