Après 88 ans belles années parmi nous, notre matriarche Andrée Côté Carson est décédée le 22 avril après un séjour dans le réseau hospitalier et CHSLD, où elle a reçu des soins offerts avec grande compassion.
Épouse de feu Ross Carson, Andrée était la mère aimante et inspirante de Norman (Cindy Jones), Ann Louise et Robert, la grand-mère adorée de Carolyn (Dave Morgan), Corey (Francesca Lebrasseur), Caitlin (Alex Lapierre) et Nicholas Carson ainsi que Nadia (Colton Cleary) et Jessica Boissonneau (Scott Beattie). Elle a eu le bonheur de bercer sept arrière-petits-enfants. Sœur de Colette Coté (feu André Jodoin) et belle-sœur de Monique Céré (feu Roch Coté). En plus de son grand Ross, Andrée est partie rejoindre ses parents Roch Côté, Maria Proulx, ses frères Réal (feue Marcelle Jodoin), Gilles, Roch et sa belle-sœur Irma Carson (feu Ernest Johnston). Matante Andrée a touché le cœur de ses nièces et neveux, ses filleul(e)s, ses nombreux cousin(e)s, voisins et amis de tous âges, tout spécialement celui de Noël Saurette.
Afin d’honorer le vécu d’une rassembleuse qui savourait les moments entourés de sa famille et de ses amis, la famille vous recevra le cœur ouvert au Centre funéraire Yves Houle de Richmond le 1er juillet (14H00-16H00 et 19H00-21H00), suivies des funérailles dans sa paroisse natale de Durham Sud le samedi 2 juillet à 11H00. La famille vous accueillera dès 10H00.
En guise de témoignages de sympathie, la famille vous invite à considérer un don à leur œuvre de charité préférée, la Société de la sclérose en plaques (www.mssociety.ca). La famille remercie chaleureusement toutes les personnes qui ont accompagné Andrée dans son dernier chapitre de vie en pensées, prières, visites et cartes au cours des récents mois. Elle en était très touchée.
After 88 years of a wonderful life, our matriarch Andrée Côté Carson passed away after a recent stay in the hospital and CHSLD networks, where she received care administered with great compassion.
Predeceased by husband Ross Carson, Andrée was the loving and inspiring mother of Norman (Cindy Jones), Ann Louise and Robert, and adored Grandmother of Carolyn (Dave Morgan), Corey (Francesca Lebrasseur), Caitlin (Alex Lapierre), Nicholas Carson along with Nadia (Colton Cleary) and Jessica Boissonneau (Scott Beattie). She had the pleasure of rocking 7 great-grandchildren. Sister of Colette Côté (André Jodoin) and sister-in-law to Monique Céré. Along with reuniting with Dad, Andrée will join her parents Roch Côté & Maria Proulx, her brothers Réal (Marcelle Jodoin), Gilles, Roch and sister-in-law Irma Carson Johnston (Ernest). Matante Andrée touched the heart of her nieces, nephews, godchildren as well as many cousins, neighbours and friends of all ages, especially the heart of Noel Saurette.
To reflect and honour Mom’s special talent of gathering friends and family, we will welcome you with open hearts on Friday July 1st (2-4 & 7-9 pm) at Centre funéraire Yves Houle in Richmond. The funeral mass will be held in South Durham at 11am, Saturday July 2nd, with visitation from 10am.
If you would like to honour Mom’s memory with a donation, our favourite family charity is Multiple Sclerosis Canada (www.msociety.ca ). The family sends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who accompanied Mom in her last chapter. Each card, kind thought, prayer and visit touched her heart.
