Mary Beatrice (Johnston) Scott, widow of William Scott of Strathadam, passed away quietly and peacefully at Bridgeview Hall, surrounded by her children on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 93.
Born in Bay du Vin, she was the eldest daughter of Sarah and Elmond Johnston.
She is survived by her children; Phyllis (Edwin Young), Colleen Singer (Late Burchill), Stuart (Ellen), Gwen (Dale McNeill), Rita (Stephen McAllister), 11 grandchildren; Chris Young, Tracey Savoie, Troy Singer, Todd Singer, Winifred Scott, Ashley Scott, Sara McCuish, David McNeill, Michael McNeill, James Armstrong and Alex Mullin, 18 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson, as well as her brother Blair Johnston (Arlene) and sister Trudy Duff (Tom).
She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, brothers Walter, Edmond, Havelock and sister, Hatty.
Mary Beatrice (Johnston) Scott is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Saturday April 30, form 1 p.m. to the time of the funeral Service at 3 p.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Geza Szemok officiating. Burial will be in St. Philip’s United Cemetery, Whitney, at a later date.
In her memory, donations to St. Philip’s United Church would be appreciated by the family.
