Passed away peacefully at home, with his wife by his side, on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Chris suffered a massive stroke 16 years ago leading to a lengthy battle. Christopher was born 82 years ago in England, and was a resident of Baden, Ontario.
Beloved and cherished husband of Linda (McCance) Boak, they were married on October 15, 1965. Loving father of Lexie and husband Scott Weston and Adrian Boak and wife Gudrun. Devoted grandfather of Claire and Erica Bierman and Stephen Boak. Chris will be missed by his sister Anne and husband Dick Woodcock, brother Dick Boak and wife Jenny, brother-in-law Ward McCance and wife Linda and by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by his father and mother Alan Joseph and Audrey Betty (Belton) Boak.
Chris was a proud participant in the Canadian Military taking him and his family to Ottawa, Rome, and Belgium. He devoted 37 years to protecting the people of Canada and enjoyed doing his part. When Chris wasn’t serving in the military, he enjoyed spending some time sailing, and traveling with his beloved wife and family.
Cremation has taken place. All are welcome to join the family on Monday, May 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Chris’s life at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg. A Celebration of Life will also take place in Ottawa at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
