Moncton – It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn LeBlanc of Faubourg du Mascaret, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, announces her passing on April 20th, 2022.
Born in Memramcook-East, on September 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mathilda (Melanson) LeBlanc.
She was formerly employed at Eaton’s. She attended Ste-Thérèse parish in Dieppe. Evelyn had several interests and hobbies such as music, dancing, playing bingo, knitting and planting flowers, but her passion was gardening. Every year she would plant all kinds of delicious vegetables and share her bounty with family, friends and neighbours.
She is survived by her loving husband, Leo LeBlanc; her daughter, Bernice (late Walter) Dunfield of Moncton; her son, Roger LeBlanc of Moncton; her granddaughter, Christine (Denis) Jalbert of Dieppe, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Florine (Leo-Paul) Dupuis, Anita (Frank) Petitpas and by her brothers: Ulysse, Emery, Emile and Aurele, she was the last surviving member of immediate family.
By request, no visitation, funeral service will be held from Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506-857-1901), on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at 11 am.
A donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
