Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Wilson Walker Morris, husband of the late Roseanne (Jackson) Morris, announces his passing, which occurred on April 20, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 30, 1938, in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Agnes (Rowan) Morris.
He served in the British Army before coming to Canada, where he volunteered with the Royal Canadian Legion; following his service, he was employed in machining and milling, working for various shops, including CFM. He was a passionate football fan and could always be found cheering on the Glasgow Rangers, aside from Thursdays, which were reserved for pints at the 3 Mile. Philip cherished summers spent in Cambridge Narrows, soaking up the sun with family and friends, and will be dearly missed around Mic Mac Trailer Park.
He is survived by his son Scot, daughters; Kim Morris, Carol Anne Morris (Roger Aldridge), and Michele Shannon (Sean), his brother George (Bridgette), his grandchildren; Anne (Donnie), Samantha (Philip), Shayne, Alyssa, Brianna and Cassandra, a great-grandson, Grayson; along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his son Philip, brothers, Ronald and Thomas, and sister, Helen.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Following cremation the funeral service will take place at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 26th at 10am. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
