Brenda Sharron Lyman 19492022

Brenda Sharron Lyman
1949-2022
Brenda Sharron Lyman, 72, of West River passed away
peacefully at home on April 19th, 2022. She was at
home where she wanted to be and was surrounded by all her family as
she went on to her eternal home.
Brenda was born in Shepody on April 25th, 1949 the daughter
of the late Thomas and Katie (Tucker) Davis.
Brenda grew up in Shepody in a large family with lots of
siblings and they all knew they could count on her for
anything. She was the matriarch of her family and her
children and grandchildren were definitely her pride and
joy. She made sure they were looked after and her door was
always open regardless of the circumstances, she was there.
She was an active member of the West River United Church and
when it closed she still remained close to the United Church
congregation. If the community or church was having an event
you could count on Brenda to organize the lists of people
bringing food and she made sure there were lots to go
around. When it came to providing her motto was
“Go big or stay home.” Brenda spent many
years helping Leland at the garage and did the bookkeeping for Lyman’s
Garage, she worked behind the scenes but was a staple part of the
business. She was in her happy place in the kitchen, cooking
and she always had lots to share with her family and
friends. The tea pot was always on and visitors welcomed she
was known for her hospitality. Many would go in the
house and enjoy a visit as they waited for their car to get
fixed. She enjoyed quilting and made many quilts
over the years, this was a passion passed down by many
generations. Brenda was not scared to tell you how she felt
but was always willing to hear your side, not necessarily ready to
agree but willing to listen. She had a great sense of humour
and loved to tease and carry on. She kept in touch with
family and friends daily on the phone and would talk for hours about
what was going on and how everyone was doing. She has left
you with a legacy of love and strength and would want everyone to be
happy and remember all her encouraging words of wisdom she has left
you. “Gone from our lives but forever in our
hearts.”
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Leland Lyman of
West River; daughter Cindi Anderson of Waterside; son, Monti Lyman
(Monique) of Point DeChene; her treasured grandchildren, Rebecca
Barron (Ben), Daniel Anderson (Megan), Bailey Leaman, Ashley
Joubert and Matthew Lyman and precious great grandchildren,

DeWolfe (Meldon), Sheila Claridge; brothers, Thomas Davis
Jr..
