Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on April 16, 2022, at the age of 85. Survived by his loving wife Noreen Osborne. Father of Georgia Jane Osborne and Calvin Osborne Jr (Pam). Stepfather to Tony Cizinoski (Sue Smith) and Sherry Cizinoski (Jason). Grandfather of Eric Osborne, Mitchell Osborne, Courtney Cizinoski, Drake Cizinoski, Maddy Cizinoski, Jackson Porter, Jamieson Pappas and Katrina Pappas. Son of the late Grace and Herb Osborne. Brother of Howard (JoyAnn), Charlie (Erma), Harve (Betty), Bud (Julie), late Allan (late Donna), late Erva, Fay Pigeau (Garth) and Sandra (late Hartley) (late Rick). Son in law of the late Reg Sr. and late Myrtle Finch-Field. Brother-in-law of the late Jack Gordon, Reg Finch-Field, Ted Finch-Field and also leaves behind his brother-in-law George (Marilyn Duquette). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Cal was an avid hockey fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and a hockey coach for 25 years. He also served as a police officer for 30 years for the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services. One of his favourite pastimes would be his hunting and fishing excursions with family and friends.
A private family service will take place. Special thank you to the Sault Area Hospital Renal Unit, Emergency Unit professionals, Paramedics, 3A and 3B of the Sault Area Hospital, Mapleview staff and the remarkable staff at O’Sullivan Funeral Home who provide an essential service that is efficient and caring. Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Renal Care Fund (payable by cheque or online).
