Sharpe, Lorne “Jiggs”
Peacefully at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Saturday April 16th, 2022, at the age of 72. Longtime partner of Jacklyn Hales. Loving father of Laura (Michael) and Tina. Remembered as a wonderful stepfather of Karen (John) and Cathy (Norm). Loving Papa of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Frank (Darlene – predeceased), predeceased by his siblings Viola, Cliffton, Fred, Bill, Wally, Stanley and Woody. Jiggs will be dearly missed by many nephews (especially Jason and Jeff), nieces (especially Annette, Andrea, Wanda and Evelyn), Cousins and the Rama First Nation Community. Visitation will be held at the Rama Community Centre – 5950 Rama Road, Rama on Saturday April 23rd from 5-7 p.m. and on Sunday April 24th from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Although, the mask mandate has been lifted they are still recommended while indoors. A reception will be held at the Moose Lodge, 6 Kitchener St, Orillia following the service. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Rama Recreation Youth Program or to the Moose Lodge through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St E Orillia (705) 327-0221.
