Obituary of Zelda Joan (Timmons) Boyce, Dominion/ Sydney
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Zelda Joan (Timmons) Boyce, age 74 on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at the CBRH, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay and raised in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Elsie (Dixon) Timmons.
In her younger years, Zelda was employed at the General Instruments Company. She was loved by family and friends alike and was kind and caring to a fault.
Zelda is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mike (Bev), Peggy (Wayne), Eugene (Betsy), Cletus, David, Tracey and Bobby (Grace), countless nieces, nephews and a special nephew, Patrick Hawgood, Barrie, Ontario. She will also be missed by the Boyce family in Glace Bay.
Besides her parents, Zelda was predeceased by her husband, Raphael “Ray” Boyce.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the CBRH, Sydney, Doctors, Nurses and staff on 4C at Palliative Care for their outstanding compassion.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation or funeral mass.
Private graveside prayers will be held at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
