Obituary of Yvonne Godin
(nee Duchesne)
Yvonne Marie Godin passed away peacefully at the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at the age of 94. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Romeo Godin (2007). Loving mother of Terry (Ann) of Stittsville, Denice (Len) Lenser of Rhoddy’s Bay, Bonnie (Doug) Clark of Carp and Mark (Francine) also of Rhoddy’s Bay. Predeceased by her son Melvin (1976). Cherished grandma of Laurel (Mike), Heather (Tim), Randy (Trisha), Jim (Alisa Leo), Amy (Peter), Shane (Kelly), Lisa (JF) and Kelly (Tim), and great-grandma of Madison, Katie, Connor, Ryan, Lochlan, Gavin, Kayla, Thane, Iris, Helen, Haddie and Wade. Yvonne will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers: Ode, Adelard and Bill as well as her sisters: Dorilda and Flora. Daughter of the late Jack and Josephine (nee Dubois) Duchense. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank-you to Dr. Villus and the staff at the Grove for their loving care and compassion during Yvonne’s stay. Yvonne’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family service will take place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Braeside. Interment St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Renfrew, in the spring.
