1932-2021
Yvon Maillet, 89, of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, passed away peacefully,
surrounded by his family at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche
on Thursday December 23, 2021. He was married to Yvonne (Melanson)
Maillet. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late
Amédée and the late Azélie (Poirier) Maillet.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Yvonne (Melanson) Maillet of
Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, his three sons; Gilles (Suzanne) of Cocagne,
Michel (Linda) of Bouctouche and Léon (Françine) of
Saint-Thomas-de-Kent, his four grandchildren; Rémi, Emilie,
Justin, Jérémie and one great granddaughter; Millie. He
also leaves to mourn his two brothers; Alonzo (Andréa) of Dieppe,
André (Yvette) of Saint-Thomas-de-Kent as well as several nephews
and nieces.
He was predeceased by one daughter; Yolande, one grandson; Luc, three
sisters; Edmée, Germaine, Lorraine and four brothers; Raymond,
Eric, Jean-Paul and Aubrey.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday December 28, 2021 from 1:00
to 3:00 pm followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 3:00
pm with interment in the Cocagne parish cemetery in the spring.
PROOF OF VACCINATIONS, ID AND FACE MASK ARE MANDATORY AT THE FUNERAL
HOME AS PER THE PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES.
In Yvon’s memory, donations may be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean
Baptiste, Bouctouche.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
