Graham: Winnifred “Wynn”
Winnifred Graham (nee Hazelton) passed peacefully in her 90th year, after a short illness on December 4, 2021. She was born on September 18, 1932 in Toronto. Wynn is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Patrick, and her sisters Margaret Bonnet, Edith Miller, Dorothy Rockett, and Blanche Thrower. Also predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Dale and Monica Duffield. She is survived by her brother William Hazelton of Mounds View, MN. Also survived by her children Barbara Scott of Strathroy, Nancy Clarke of London, and John Graham of Bayfield. She will forever be cherished by her grandchildren Alia Scott; Christine and Dan Iellamo; Kelly and Dr. Justin Mall; Gemma Thompson; Aimee and Charles Elie; Jeffrey and Leigh Graham; Graham and Jenna Scott; Michael Graham; Sabina and Dan Meirinho and many nieces and nephews. Remembered with much love by her 16 great grandchildren and a welcome addition a boy, to be joining the clan in April of 2022. Wynn was a steadfastly supportive wife to her husband Pat and stood next to him for many years as they operated Graham’s General Store in Bayfield. As a young woman and then mother of three, she worked at Bell Telephone in London as an operator. Wynn’s community was important to her. She belonged to the ACW at many Anglican churches. In Bayfield she actively volunteered for any event held by Trinity St. James Anglican Church; supported the Clinton Hospital Auxiliary; Kinnettes in Welland; and Lioness in Bayfield. She was an avid Bridge player most of her life and also enjoyed Mahjong for several years. Those of us who knew and loved her always found her thoughtful to the needs of others. Not wanting to leave anyone out, their door was always open. While John, Nancy and I realize that she won’t be bringing the band home anymore … we take comfort and with a smile on our faces, know she’ll be doing so in heaven.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
A donation can be made to Huron Hospice or Trinity St. James Anglican Church, Bayfield. Cremation has already taken place.
