Obituary
On Sunday, November 21, 2021, Wolfgang Laws, loving husband, father, son, and sibling, passed away at the age of 72. Wolfgang was born on December 14, 1948, in Germany, to Aron Laws and Liselotte Plat. He and his family immigrated to Canada when he was four years old. He married his high school sweetheart Sue Copping on June 5, 1971. Wolfgang had a passion for woodworking, singing in the church choir and helping others.
Wolfgang was preceded in death by his father, Aron, his mother, Liselotte, and his older brother Dietrich. He is survived by his wife Sue, his children Jennifer, Christine, and Timothy, his siblings Gudrun, Margret, David (Regine), and Ingrid (David), his cousins, nieces, and nephews, and his family in Germany.
The visitation and funeral will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Eastgate Alliance Church, 550 Codd’s Road, Ottawa, ON, K1K 2G8. The visitation will be at 11 am followed by the funeral service at Noon. There will be refreshments after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wolfgang Laws may be sent directly to Camp IAWAH, 304 Iawah Road, Godfrey, ON, K0H 1T0.
Wolfgang loved Jesus and is with him now in glory.
