Obituary of William Phillip McNamara
1945 – 2021
Passed away suddenly at his residence due to health complications on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the age of 75.
Loving husband of Sandra (nee Reinhart) McNamara married for 51 years. Dear father of Alison (Jeff) Mundt and Erin (Ed) Roach. Cherished grandfather of Ava and Audrey Mundt and Jordan Roach.
Predeceased by his parents William and Eileen McNamara.
Bill grew up in Brantford. In 1969 he moved to Waterloo when he married Sandra. He was a CMA and Director of Financial Services at the University of Waterloo many years ago. He was an avid golfer and a highly skilled pool player. It was always amazing how much he knew and he could fix anything. He enjoyed working around the home, had a love for computers and was extremely tech savvy. Bill was a devoted father and grandfather. Without fail he was always there when one of his family members needed him. We treasure our time with him and he will be deeply missed.
The family are parishioners of St Agnes RC Church in Waterloo.
At Bill’s request there will be no visitation or service. A private family graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
Condolences for the family and donations to Diabetes Canada or the Heart & Stroke Foundation may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445.
