Obituary of William John McAnally
William John McAnally
May 7, 1928 – October 10, 2021
Passed away peacefully in his sleep at The United Mennonite Home in Vineland at the age of 93. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife, June, his parents, Jim and Elvie, his brother Jim (Marie), and sister Betty (Tom). He is survived by his sister, Beverly, his children, Mark (Pat), Gregg (Patty), Val (John), Matt, Jeff (Jane) and Vicki (Jim), his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and wife Barbara.
After a long career with Mutual Life, Bill retired at the age of 60 and enjoyed his retirement years in Grimsby and Beamsville with numerous friends. He was incredibly social, always cheerfully greeting those around him and enjoying looking after his home, particularly riding his mower doing the lawn. Bill was an avid sports fan; he loved the Ticats, the Leafs and Blue Jays. He was a coach of many of his children’s sports teams and certainly passed on his love of athletics to his children. Bill was a great deal of fun to be with and will be sadly missed by
his family and his many long-time friends in the Grimsby area.
We’d like to thank the staff at The United Mennonite Home for their thoughtful and tireless care they provided for Bill. Their kindness and friendship as well as professional manner helped him to enjoy his final years with dignity and joy.
At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place. A family Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of William
