William “Gordon” Davy
Gordon Davy passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Olive (1978) and Ella (2013). Loving father of Valerie (Ashley), Colin (Nancy), James and predeceased by son Dennis. Cherished grandfather to Kerri (Conor), Amanda (Peter), Greg (Andrea), Kailey (Jeremy), Nicole (fiancé Gabriel), Joshua (Samantha), Jessica (Bryan), Daniel (Melanie) and his 14 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by his siblings Bob and Reta (Reuben), sister-in-law Libby and is predeceased by his siblings Harold (Dorothy), Ruth, Don, Lorne (Ollie) and sister-in-law Nancy. Gordon will be remembered fondly by his extended family, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Gordon was Postmaster in Vineland for 35 years, faithful member of The Gideons International of Canada and dedicated volunteer firefighter in Vineland for many years. He was a lifelong member of the Twenty Valley Community Church in Vineland. Gordon enjoyed his travels in Europe, across the United States and Canada with Ella and other family members as well as woodworking projects and activities with Gideons.
A private visitation and service to be held at Twenty Valley Community Church at 3994 Victoria Avenue, Vineland on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to Gideons Internation-Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
