William George Gillies
July 12, 1949 – October 18, 2021
It is with saddened hearts that the family of William Gillies announce his passing at Breton Long Term Care, Breton, Alberta, on October 18, 2021, at the age of 73 years.
William will be lovingly remembered by Caroline, his wife of 35 years; his children, Tammy, Betty and Maggie; his grandchildren, Curtis, Aaron, Devon, Jordon, Shaylyn, Ava, Amber, Sawyer and Jude and great grandchildren, Emmlyn, Greyson and Loghan. Also remembering his memory are his parents, Robert and Betty; his two brothers, Bob and Dave and his sister Mary.
The family has great memories of William’s love for all sports, but especially his cheering on the Oilers, Edmonton Elks and the Bluejays. He loved to fish and play golf and the family will always cherish their stories and memories of camping together and sitting around the campfire.
A private family graveside service will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 at River View Cemetery, Drayton Valley, Alberta.
The family would ask, that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Breton Care Centre, 4919 49 Avenue, Breton, Alberta, T0C 0P0.
