It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Wilson at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre on Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years; Heather Wilson (née Wilkinson). Loving father of Stephen Wilson, Kim Lemieux and Donna Durocher (Steven). Cherished grandfather of Katrina MacDonald (Kevin), Melissa Lacertosa (Tyler), Amber Barjarow (Andrew) and Laura Barjarow (Zachary) and great-grandfather of Peyton and Quinn MacDonald, Riley and River Halladay-Barjarow and Luca Lacertosa. Born to late Thomas Wilson and the late Christina Wilson (née Appleton). Dear brother of Frank Wilson (late Colleen) and Patricia McGregor (late Douglas). He is predeceased by one brother Ronald Wilson (Sheila), his in-laws; William and Mary (née McMillan) Wilkinson and by one sister-law; Barbara Legault. Bill will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A controlled visitation will take place at Wilson Funeral Homes Ltd. (613)938-3888), 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, On, on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 am. Funeral will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s/St. Mark’s United Church in Long Sault, On, on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11 am. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
