William Rodney Wade “Billy”
Peverill – 42, Truro,
passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021. Born in Halifax, he was the
son of Joyce (Pinkham) Hoskin, Guysborough.
An avid outdoorsman, Billy had lived off-grid in BC National
Forest on his own for a length of time. He enjoyed tinkering with and
fixing cars, riding his motorcycle with Nova Scotia Rides and loved
animals, especially his beloved gecko, Lizzie. He was a very generous
person who would give you the shirt off his back without thinking
twice. He will be sadly missed by Maria Horsman and Rodney Horsman and
a wide circle of family and friends.
Along with his mother, Billy is survived by his daughter,
Jayde Feltmate, Beaver Bank; sisters, Dametre Peverill (Andre
Samuels), Truro; Jacqueline Peverill (Samantha Feindel, son, Cohen
Feindel), Beaver Bank; brother, Alex Hoskin (Shay Barotil), Toronto;
fathers, Daniel Hoskin, Bernie Peverill, Ray Smith; paternal
grandmother, Alice Peverill, Lower Sackville; maternal grandfather,
Ervin Rafter, Guysborough; uncle, Perry Pinkham, Mount Uniacke; aunt,
Jean Fader, Mount Uniacke; cousins, Chris Fader, Brett Pinkham, Devon
Pinkham; girlfriend, Jennifer Brown, Truro. He was predeceased by his
maternal grandmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Rafter; maternal
grandfather, Cyril Pinkham; paternal grandfather, Thomas Peverill;
cousin, Andrew Pinkham.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Billy’s
family will receive friends from 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 26,
2021, followed by the funeral service at 6 p.m., Reverend Valerie
Kingsbury officiating. (Please note that proof
of double vaccination and photo identification will be requested prior
to entry to funeral home for the visitation and
funeral service, and masks must
be worn at all times; thank you for your co-operation and
understanding.) If so desired, donations in
Billy’s memory to his daughter, Jayde are welcomed. Private
